I have been lucky enough to work with a series of interesting organizations in my career. One of the best parts of being a video producer is diving into stories full of passionate people. I tend to learn a lot and come out the other side a believer.

Vernacular Architecture Forum

This video is made of up the voices of historians, architects, and civic planners interested in the fascinating minutia of the built environment of Chicago. It features images of the city’s unnoticed architectural history, places and people. I had a fantastic time making it.

Blackstone Bikes

Blackstone Bikes is a non-profit bike shop on Chicago’s South Side that allows local kids the opportunity to learn bike repair skills and earn their own bike. I have been apart of it since 2012. This video captures the inaugural cyclocross race of the Blackstone Race Team, which is now a much feared part of the youth bike circuit in Chicago.

Vivian Maier

The Vivian Maier Photography Project was a group that held one of the largest collections of the reclusive photographer’s negatives and prints. Their work is in the research, archiving, and printing of these amazing photographs that were left abandoned in a storage locker. It’s a twisting and turning drama that continues to unfold.

Driehaus Foundation

In the two years right out of film school, I produced short documentaries for the Driehaus Foundation to introduce the recipients of their Individual Artist Awards. I couldn’t have been luckier to spend this time with working artists and ask about their habits, process, and ambitions. While the audiences loved the films themselves, I definitely learned the most.
